2014 Esk Valley Sauvignon Blanc

2014 Villa Maria Esk Valley Sauvignon Blanc and Americana Caviar Pairing

Today we are pairing this wine with Americana caviar (White Sturgeon) from Lady Elena Caviar.

This wine is 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough , New Zealand. The grapes come form vineyard sites in the Wairau Valley and the Awatere Valley. Fermentation was conducted at cool temperatures in stainless steel . Post fermentation, the wines were left on the lees before bottling.

The wine has a pale straw color. There are aromas of gooseberry, tropical fruits with cut grass scents. On the palate it is soft with the fruit becoming more apparent. The finish is dry with floral ripe fruits.

Americana Caviar (White Sturgeon): The 2014 Esk Valley Sauvignon Blanc clears the palate with floral tropical notes and leaves a dry finish. A great Lady Elena Caviar pairing.
