2014 Montinore Estate Pinot Gris – Willamette Valley, Oregon

We are pairing this wine with the 8th Pearl Caviar (Kaluga Hybrid Sturgeon) from Lady Elena Caviar.

This wine is 100% Pinot Gris and vinified in 100% stainless steel. The Montinore Estate has  210 acres of vineyards located in the foothills of the Coastal Mountain Range in the northern Willamette Valley.

The wine has a pale straw color with an orange tint. There are aromas of pear skin, apples, orange blossom and minerals. On the palate the wine is medium bodied with minerality giving softness to the fruit. There is a white peppery spiciness. The wine has a slight peppery finish with mouth watering freshness.

The 8th Pearl Caviar (Kaluga Hybrid Sturgeon): The caviar neutralizes the fruit and gives a clean dry finish. A good wine and caviar pairing with The 8th Pearl Caviar from Lady Elena Caviar.
