Languedoc-Roussillon is the largest wine producing region are in France and the world. The wine region is located in southern France bordering the Mediterranean Sea.

Due to the large size of the mainly flat area there are various soils and climates. This diversity allows many different red and white grape varieties to be successfully grown in the Languedoc- Roussillon region. The red grape varieties you will find are Carignan, Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah. For the white wines, the varieties grown are Bourboulenc, Clairette, Marsanne, Muscat, Piquepoul, Roussanne, Vermentino, and Viognier.

With such a diverse landscape and grape varieties there are many value priced wines to be enjoyed.
